Prof. Barjeev Tyagi
Prof. Barjeev Tyagi received his Ph.D (Electrical Engineering) degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur in 2006. Presently he is Professor in Electrical Engineering IIT Roorkee. His area of interest is Small Signal Stability Analysis and Control of wide Area Power System, Stability Analysis and Controller Design, Wide Area System Monitoring and Control, PMU placement in Transmission and Active Distribution System, Power system Operation and Control, Power system Deregulation, Voltage and Frequency Control, Microgrid Planning Operation and Control, Integration of Renewable Energy Sources, Optimization.
Prof. Barjeev Tyagi took over as the Dean of Students’ Welfare of the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee on September 01, 2023. He previously held the positions of Chief Warden, Rajendra Bhawn from 04-03-2012 to 31-05-2014 & Professor-in-Charge Security from 01-08-2014 to 04-10-2020.
